My storm chasing timelapse film "rain will come" won a Telly award for videography/cinematography! Many thanks to my friends Ron Risman of Timelapseworkshops.com, Bill Reid, Matt Phelps and Bob Conzemius from TempestTours.com and the wonderful people at Peter Gabriel's label, RealWorldMusic.com.
I hope you enjoy the video. This year's storm were very different, farther South and fast moving. On the last day we saw a tornado touch down in Andover, KS. We chased it for about 20 minutes until it roped up. Best to chase safely with experienced people like Tempest Tours.
I captured most everything with a Canon 5Dmk4 with an Canon 11-24mm lens using a one second interval, a stone bag on the tripod and a favorite rock. In post production I used Adobe Lightroom Classic, LRTimelapse.com and Adobe Premiere software. As I reviewed the images from the field for post production the only song that came to mind was one "Red Rain" by Peter Gabriel.
As I processed the images and began editing footage, the edit seemed to just fall into place. The folks at Real World Music were so helpful and very supportive of the project. Many, Many Thanks!
